Roshan Digital Accounts
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched initiative “Roshan Digital Account” for Non Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) in collaboration with commercial banks operating in Pakistan. These accounts will provide innovative banking solutions for millions of Non Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) seeking to undertake banking, payment and investment activities in Pakistan. Non-resident Pakistanis can easily open and operate bank account digitally without visiting a branch. The Roshan Digital Account will fully integrate the Pakistani diaspora with Pakistan’s banking and payment system by;
o Providing digital access to all conventional account services including funds transfer, bills and fee payments, and e-commerce.
o Enabling investment in Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) being issued very soon by the Government of Pakistan at very attractive risk free rates.
o Enabling investment in Pakistan’s stock market.
o Opening up investment opportunities in the Pakistani property market very soon, including both commercial and residential real estate.
