High Commissioner Mr. Abdul Basit called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM´s House and briefed him on the status of Pakistan-India relations. The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan wants good neighborly relations with all countries of the region. He said India is an important neighbor for us and we would like to have normal relations with the country on the basis of mutual respect and sovereign equality. The Prime Minister said it is important that two countries resolve all their outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir in order to have viable peace in the region.
