Innaguration of Pakistan show at Amritsar
HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR PAKISTAN INAUGURATES PAKISTAN SHOW IN AMRITSAR “We are confident that the next Indian government will respond to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif´s region first vision and his ‘policy of peace for development’. Pakistan as a democratic country cannot but only strive for peace and prosperity of the two countries and the region as a whole”, this was stated by Mr. Abdul Basit, High Commissioner for Pakistan to India while inaugurating “Pakistan Show” at Trilium Mall, Amritsar (India), today. Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is organizing “Pakistan Show” from 8th – 12th May 2014 in Amritsar. More than 100 Pakistani exhibitors are showcasing their products in the show. During the exhibition, LCCI is also presenting Pakistani Cultural Programs on daily basis in which world renowned Pakistani singers will be performing. On the occasion, High Commissioner for Pakistan, Mr. Abdul Basit further said that the two Punjabs are blazing the trail for our two countries and showing us the path to build peace on the basis of mutual respect. The High Commissioner stated that “Pakistan Show” is testimony to the enormous potential that exists between Pakistan and India. He emphasized that we must persevere to create an environment of bonhomie and the time has come to turn a new leaf and dispense with the paradigm of hostility. President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Engr. Sohail Ahmed Lashari and Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the Indian Punjab, Mr. Inderbir Singh Bolaria were also present.
