Pakistan´s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit meet with Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani on 9th Feb 2016 in New Delhi. High Commissioner inquired about his health and conveyed good wishes of Pakistani leadership as well as people of Pakistan. He also assured him that Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support “to the people of J&K and their legitimate right to self-determination“. The High Commissioner also expressed hope that the J&K dispute would be settled between Pakistan and India through dialogue in accordance with the aspiration of the people of the state.
